A friend and I wanted a drink to chat and catch up... We didn't know where to go, but very close by, we spotted the legendary La Guadalupana bar, which after being renovated, had changed its name to what everyone knew it as. Everything was great from the start, starting with the extremely attentive service from our waiter, who gave us recommendations and was always attentive to our needs. When we ordered our drinks, small bowls of complimentary Aztec soup arrived. We weren't very hungry, but after one spoonful, we finished it like there was no tomorrow... Exquisite flavor and consistency. Then we ordered other appetizers, such as a bone marrow dish, melted cheese, and guacamole. Everything was delicious, and we were able to pair it with a tequila we weren't familiar with, but our waiter recommended. It was a very good experience. It's an excellent place to chat with friends and eat or snack while enjoying a few drinks. Don't expect a party atmosphere... It's a place with simple decor, background music that allows for conversation, and very decent prices. Highly recommended.

Traditional Mexico city style cantina. Good Mexican food to go along with your drinking. Get a bottle of tequila, listen to some of the music groups that occasionally come by and maybe even get invited to play some domino.
Dinner, Jan 2024 Restaurants is on the outside of a bull ring, which is still in service occasionally. He ordered: chicken enchiladas. Flan. She ordered: beef soft tacos. The frijoles were excellent. Would go again.
This is the best place we have eaten at in Cancun!!! We loved and plan to go back again.
